Grade path

One grade at a time, each one a real exam.

Every student starts with a free placement assessment and is placed on the ladder, from Foundation to ABRSM Grade 5.

The grade ladder.

Every student is placed after a short assessment, then climbs one grade at a time. Each step is a real ABRSM exam.

How an ABRSM piano exam is marked

Students play three pieces, scales and arpeggios, a sight-reading test and aural tests, for a total of 150 marks. We run a mock exam each term against the same scheme.

Theory in every class
